Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I shall fear no evil:
He makes me lie down in green pastures,*
and lead me besides still waters.
He revives my soul*
and guides me along right pathways for his name sake.
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death*
I shall fear no evil:
For you are with me*
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I shall fear no evil. [Psalm 23.1-4]
You stagger,
you stumble,
your holy head
crowned with thorns.
Struggling to bear all,
for all.
I struggle and fall when departing from your holy way. Time and again I pull away, only to stumble and fall again. Repeatedly, gently and tirelessly, you call me back.
This third station, shows me
your determination to see it through,
to stay on the rocky road.
Glory to you O Christ,
for surely he calls me along right pathways,
for his name sake;
he helps me stay
on his holy way.
