Christ is the image of the invisible God,
the first-born of all creation.
The Father has delivered us
From the dominion of darkness,*
And transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son;
In whom we have redemption,*
the forgiveness of our sins.
He is the image of the invisible God,*
the first born of all creation.
For in him all things were created,*
in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.
Christ is the image of the invisible God,
the first-born of all creation. Colossians 1.13-16
Visible in human form,
yet to many,
your divinity,
is hidden.
Here you reveal your true self,
to Veronica,
to the world.
Sacredly and gently crossed by Holy Chrism at baptism, I was imbued with your hidden nature. Yet so often, I never show it, to a world in desperate need of you.
In this sixth station,
I am aware of the indwelling Christ,
in whom we have redemption,
the forgiveness of our sins.
Like Veronica, help me die to self,
holding up only you,
to all those who do not know you.
